About Me
My clinical work is trauma informed and I aim to use the combination of CBT, EMDR, and Strength-based approaches.
My Mission
Attempt to help my clients identify the cause of their maladaptive behaviours and how their trauma might be currently effecting them.
My Values
I strive to provide a safe and welcoming place for all my clients where they can share their story. I aim to help them in their journey towards growth and positive change.
More About Me
My clinical work includes a few different modalities, and I try to tailor them to suit each client. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, and Strength Based Therapy, amongst others that are encompassed in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strength-based frameworks. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and offer it to clients with a wide variety of issues surrounding Trauma and PTSD.
In the past I have worked with individuals presenting with PSTD, ADHD, depression, loss and grief, chronic pain, and anxiety disorders.
I also volunteered at the Ottawa Distress Centre providing support to those in crisis. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I completed my undergrad in Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology. I completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University in December, 2022. I am currently under the supervision of a Social Worker, Joanne Weitzman, MSW.
My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, warm, and non-judgemental space for my clients where healing can take place. I will attempt to help you heal through deep self-understanding, genuine connection, trust, and collaboration. I invite you to join me in your journey in trying to identify issues that are getting in your way toward healing and growth.
